------------------------------------------------------------------------
I know I have been remiss at copying my posts from my msn spaces blog over here the last few months but I am really trying to rectify that. A lot has been going on with me. Eric is back in Iraq and has been for almost 3 months now. Another 4 or so to go. Patty (Eric's new wife) came to visit with us for 3 weeks just recently. We all stayed busy and enjoyed our time with her while she was here! Got some great pics to post. For now I want to reiterate the post I added to my MSN Spaces blog this morning. Lately it seems I am too upset with our nation's leaders to even begin to write anything remotely political with anything approaching a reasonable tone. As you can see below, this one has me up in arms though. Sometimes I feel like we are taking a step forward and two back unfortunately. We certainly have this time.

God bless all our Marines, soldiers and their families.

MSN Spaces post today from Daily Life of a Marine Mom (my mirrored blog)

So, do you think that because of the dissatisfaction surrounding our government's performance at forcing Iraq to take over their own security that your Marine or soldier is going to receive a much needed reprieve from spending more time in that wartorn country? Do you have hopes that things will turn around and our Marines and soldiers will be redeployed back home where they are so sorely needed? Well ... think again. A recent executive order (issued July 17th) by our REPLUBICAN president has almost surely blocked any efforts of our DEMOCRATIC congress from bringing about the withdrawal from a country that is refusing to help itself. You can read it for yourself here:

Executive Order: Blocking Property of Certain Persons Who Threaten Stabilization Efforts in Iraq

In essence this order can cause the seizure of any property OR person from anyone that disagrees with the president about Iraq (it actually stipulates 'violent' acts but the government officials under Bush's control are already twisting that as per the letter they sent to some Democratic candidates). Hilary Clinton has been sent a letter from the Whitehouse threatening her already. [Read about that by clicking here.] I imagine all the Democratic candidates have been by now. Also the Replubicans that are seeing the mood of the country and are turning away from the war proproganda to listen to their constituents.

Do you know that the Iraqi Parliment, instead of doing their job and trying to meet the benchmarks are taking a three-month long vacation? While our men and women are in Iraq in the 120 degree heat, wearing all their gear, working to help the Iraqi people.

I am so digusted that I can't even begin to tell you how bad it is. Besides, if I actually did I would probably have all my assets seized and be sent to one of the 800 empty prison camps that have been set up INSIDE the U.S. by FMEA for emergency measures (to hold dissenters to the Iraqi war effort pushed on us by Bush and gang - who knows?). Now are all the people that voted for Bush happy? It makes me sick.
